However, what many people don't know weight loss is that if you consume the crunch bars instead of the maintenance bars, there is no such restriction. The crunch bars only have 110 calories and 12 grams of carbs, so they're an alternative that's going to be fine up to five times per day. In this way, the brownies are the same as the crunch bars. Because their calorie and carb content is low (they contain 110 calories and 15 grams of carbs,) these are also not restricted. Theoretically, you could have five of these brownies as you can with the crunch bars. But I'm not sure why you would want to over do it on any one food or meal. There are so many different options on this diet. I personally don't see why you'd risk getting bored when you have so many different choices.
I understand that most people have a sweet tooth and like the dessert type options. You can get this through the shakes, pudding, oatmeal, and bars. And there are recipes that allow you to make baked goods with many of these. Additionally, some people add fat and sugar free syrups to these items to give you even more variety and flavor. Keep in mind too that no matter which foods you chose for your five Medifast meals, you'll still want to have your one main "lean and green meal." So while you don't have to limit yourself on the Medifast brownies, you should also know that there are other alternatives. The recipes that use the pudding to make cookies and muffins are good examples.
